How about color gamut and shadow detail? I’ve seen side-by-side comparisons between some phones, and the Rezound’s “black” is a dark gray, with muted saturation. The Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Droid RAZR, and other phones have almost real black as black, and with far punchier saturation levels/gamut and are much nicer on the eyes, even if they aren’t 341PPI… though it is ultimately about the customer’s tastes and needs… :) )

@Andrewdad2Gaming Right now, the Rezound and the Galaxy Nexus would be my two choices. Of these, the Rezound is less expensive and has the best audio features by far. With 4G and their 720p displays, both are excellent for YouTube and browsing the Internet.

Htc rezound da shit man I watched this video on 1 and the picture quality was way better on the rezound. And don’t forget The front faceing camera ya nOOb its way better on the rezound.

  • ackeejag
    February 21, 2012 - 4:31 am | Permalink

Just thought I would point out the fact that the rezound is not running ICS so it doesn’t have proper support for dual cores. This means the processor benchmarking wasn’t a proper test of the phones true ability.

Sorry to spam, but the picture on the rezound was better, look how noisy the iPhone picture was, the rezound if a little darker was much quieter.

  • gtawesom3
    February 21, 2012 - 4:56 am | Permalink

Yeah the iPhone has 512mb of RAM same as the iPad 2.

  • gtawesom3
    February 21, 2012 - 5:00 am | Permalink

Oh and also I am pretty sure the iPhone has a dual core UNDERCLOCKED 800mhz a5 chip not 1ghz dual core.

I don’t understand, I just watched the rezound against the spectrum and you say and don’t precisely quote me on this – ‘I like to have a bigger phone in my pocket’ due to the spectrum being bigger but the iPhone wins the size round because it is smaller? I mean c’mon are you being an anti-HTC or just want to not piss off the ifanboys?

I was just at the store looking at phones today and man the rezound screen is just amazing and so is the camera. I don’t think this is even close! Rezound > iPhone!

My god….. of course the phone is heavier, and bigger. The iphone has a tiny display as far as industry standards at the moment, the iphone is behind in nearly everything as far as industry standard. It’s got IPS and a wonderful camera. But that’s IT. So yes, you can get a smaller, slightly lighter phone, with a tiny screen, inferior processor, inferior networks/data speeds

HTC vs Iphone? Obviously rezound wins. When i found an iPhone 4 on the road I sold it for 300 and then the next day I got the rezound. MUCH better phone.

@DCMairsoft The ONLY thing that kept me back from the Rezound was the LCD screen.. I’ve had a super AMOLED as long as i’ve had a smartphone so i just can’t like anything else, ya know?

I was on the fence about the Iphone 4S and the Rezound. Well let’s take a looksie: Iphone Pros: fast, lighter, thinner, ummm that’s it….Rezound Pros: Does Adobe Flash, HD display, 1.5 dual processor, bigger display, customizable as hell, 4G, 8 MP back camera, 2 MP front camera, Awesome headphones (and IBeats), Upgradeable storage, awww…..Iphone…..tough luck! I got the Rezound and I COULD NOT be happier!

  • DCMairsoft
    February 21, 2012 - 11:06 am | Permalink

@Tapoutbro911 then go with the nexus, I found myself going back to the rezound over and over so I got that

Lool HTC rezound is 60$ cheaper and comes with 80$ headphones and still owns the iPhone! That’s what I call overpriced! (the iPhone ofc)
